I began this collection in 1997, driving from Newport, in South Wales, to Llandrindod, in mid-Wales, on a warm April morning. As I continue to take pictures of roads I recognise something of their allure - the similarities in form serve to emphasise their differences of content: the light, the sky, the twist in the road.
